Interior

Inside
the case is a mess of wires from all the added features,
but it is extra roomy. Unused HDD cables can be removed
from the switcher.
The interior of the
case is slightly roomier than the average mid-sized
case. Plenty of cooling potential is provided by the
ability to have two fans in both the front and rear
of the case. Of course, the two fans in front are
pretty much useless. What isn't restricted by the
front panels lack of air holes, is restricted by the
mass quantity of wires that go to the front panel
and it's numerous power buttons. They do pull a small
amount of air in, but not much.

GMC actually has their logo imprinited into the interior
of the case. They must be proud of their work...
Unfortunately, GMC didn't
put a removable motherboard tray into this case (something
people who frequently make changes to their rig appreciate).
However, because the case is slightly larger than
average there is some extra room inside to make up
for this. As expected, we found no sharp edges inside
the case.

Removable cages are nice, especially when the system
is designed for three hard drives.
A removable HDD cage
makes things a lot easier, especially because the
case is designed to be used with at least three hard
drives. Moving it is not as simple as lightly sliding
the cage in and out (there is some force required),
but once the cage is in it is very secure.

The HDD selector switch mounts nicely to the removable
hard drive cage.
Inside is where the
HDD selector is actually located. A cream box has
a connector for an input molex connector, and for
the controls on the front of the case. This is where
it connects which button is pushed to the corresponding
hard drive. All it really does is control which HDD
the power goes to, and leaves no supply to the others.
The concept is simple and effective. There is one
major fault with this design, which we will discuss
later.

The bottom of the clamshell contains cable ties and
anti-vibration pads for your PSU, CD-ROM drives, and
hard drives.
One of GMC's nick extra
touches, was all the included sound preventing materials.
From rubber washers (to be used to absorb vibrations
from hard drives, CD-ROMs, etc.) to pads that go in
each corner of your system fans, GMC has included
a whole bunch of anti-vibration materials.

Screws for the whole system are included,
although some did not actually fit what they were
marked.
Also included with the
anti-vibration pads are screws for the whole system.
Many of which come in a cool color. Not to be forgotten
are the cable ties GMC included, sure they are only
a nickel apiece. But it's the thought that counts,
right?
