Conclusion

There is no denying it, the lapping process was very long for us. This was mainly due to using an extremely rough heatsink, which we can understand. And while we would have wished to have the entire heatsink lapped perfectly, what we ended up with was a dramatic improvement.

In terms of performance, things went very well. While the heatsink we used is one of the more extreme cases, we are confident that this kit will help improve most of the heatsinks out there. For those of us with a very rough heatsink, a $5-$7 kit is a fantastic deal compared to buying a new heatsink and obtaining the same performance in the end.

In the end, only those who are extremely lazy should avoid this kit. The performance to price ratio is excellant. If you don't mind a little work (or especially if you like this sort of thing), you should definately pick a kit up from elitecool.com.

 Pros:
·Quite cheap & affordable
·Helps lower temps
·Some people will actually enjoy the project
·Makes things good and shiny
;)
Cons:
·Requires actual work
·Some very rough heatsinks (like ours) may not turn out perfect

Final Score: A
