Overclocking

Another fun part of a review, the overclocking section. My goal? To see exactly how many more mhz I can push out of my cpu and ram.

My ram is generic, so I wasn't expecting to get too much out of it (also because I have two sticks). However, it turned out to be a great overclocker, I got it to 366mhz on the slowest timings (it's rated 266mhz pc2100 cas 2.5), giving me a whopping 2500 mb/sec of memory bandwith. One thing that is great about this motherboard is it has almost every option available for overclocking your ram. Every speed, (including 1T command, which was included in a bios update). The only thing it lacks is bank interleave modes.

W00t?
Yummm, 2500 MB/s.

As for my cpu, the overclocking didn't go AS well. I have a p42.0a, which means a high multiplier (20x). The CPUt went up to 2.2ghz on stock voltage (110fsb), giving me a 440mhz FSB. And by bumping up the Voltage by .025 it can hit 2.3ghz (115 fsb) and a FSB of 460mhz. VCore does jump around a lot on this motherboard, which does make overclocking hard once the voltage is high up. At a later time (After this review was written) I used a p4s533 bios on this motherboard and was able to obain a fsb of 127.
