Benchmarks
My favorite part of writing reviews,
the benchmarks. For these set of benchmarks the following system
was used:
Processor: Pentium 4 2.0A
Memory: 2x 256MB PC2100 DIMM (overclocked for 166mhz test, same
timings)
Motherboard: Asus P4S33 (bios rev. 1.007.004)
Motherboard chip set: SiS 645
NVIDIA reference drivers: 40.41
Hard-Drive: Western Digital 81GB 7200RPM ATA100
IDE Interface: Ultra ATA100
Sound: Creative Labs Sound Blaster Live!
CD/DVD: Elements 56x CD
Secondary CD/DVD: Mitsumi 32x Burner
Power Supply: Premier 300 Watt
Operating System: Windows XP Pro
Unfortunately I didn't have the
resources to compare this motherboard to another, so I benched
it with ram at different speeds to show the difference between
266mhz and 333mhz, and different CL timings. Also, unfortunately,
my ram just wouldn't boot at 166 CL2, but was perfectly stable
at all tested settings.

As you see above, the difference between 266mhz and 333mhz is
rather significant.

Here you can see that an extra 66 mhz on the ram increased my
3DMARK score by about 430 points. Interestingly, the 266mhz
ram at CL2 isn't very far behind.

Again we see how the increase in ram speed gives us a good boost,
but again the 266mhz ram @ CL2 is right on the 333mhz's heels.

Apparantly VillageMark doesn't rely on system Ram speed what
so ever.
